Cindy Goodnetter, LMT
Branch Director | Founder of A Gathering Place | Educator & Visionary Leader
At the helm of A Gathering Place Massage Therapy School is Cindy Goodnetter, a licensed massage therapist and adult educator with over 40 years of teaching experience.
Cindy is the owner and director of A Gathering Place, where she has dedicated her life to empowering others through education and healing.
Her journey began in Pre-Pharmacy studies, later earning a Bachelor of Science in Adult Education with a minor in Science, and a Master of Business Administration.
For 29 years, she maintained national certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), after completing her professional training in South Florida.
With 37+ years of hands-on massage and bodywork experience and over 27 years as owner and operator of A Gathering Place Massage Therapy School in the St. Louis metro area, Cindy’s leadership is deeply rooted in integrity, compassion, and educational excellence.
Her vision has inspired countless students and instructors alike to pursue healing work as a lifelong calling.
Jaclyn Kohler-Brake, LMT
Branch Administrator | Yoga Practitioner | Holistic Educator
Jaclyn Kohler-Brake is a yogini and licensed massage therapist dedicated to cultivating peace and love within herself and her community.
A proud graduate of A Gathering Place–St. Louis (Class of 2017), Jaclyn has completed continuing education in Sound Healing, Myofascial Release, Thai Massage, and Reiki through the Master Level.
With more than 1,200 hours of yoga studies over 12 years, Jaclyn’s passion lies in Eastern and alternative healing modalities.
As the Branch Administrator at A Gathering Place–Springfield, she holds the vision for community, education, and individual growth, ensuring that every student’s journey is grounded in love, learning, and connection.
Jenny Gabris, LMT
Deep Tissue Specialist | Yoga Teacher | Anatomy Enthusiast
With over a decade of professional experience, Jenny Gabris brings a wealth of therapeutic expertise and teaching energy to A Gathering Place.
A licensed massage therapist and certified yoga instructor, Jenny specializes in neuromuscular therapy, trigger point work, myofascial release, and Thai massage.
She also shares her understanding of anatomy trains and Rock Tape techniques, helping students see how structure and movement intertwine.
Jenny’s students are continually inspired by her ability to make anatomy come alive and by her genuine care for helping others relieve pain and rediscover wellness.
Anna Micklea, PA
Anatomy & Physiology Instructor | Healthcare Professional | Wellness Advocate
Anna Micklea brings more than 16 years of healthcare experience to her teaching. She began her career as a certified massage therapist in 2004 in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in deep tissue, sports massage, and myofascial release.
Her desire to deepen her medical knowledge led her to become a Physician Assistant (PA), completing her training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009.
Anna has worked in orthopedic medicine, aesthetic dermatology, and women’s health in both Pennsylvania and California.
Her classes blend clinical insight with compassion, giving students a well-rounded understanding of the human body. Outside the classroom, Anna enjoys yoga and spending time with her young children, embracing the same balance and vitality she teaches.
Alyse Taylor, LMT
Precision Neuromuscular Therapist | Energy Worker | Compassionate Healer
Alyse Taylor became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2011, beginning her career in a clinical setting under the guidance of Doug Nelson, learning Precision Neuromuscular Therapy.
Over the years, her practice has evolved to include Reiki and sonic (sound) massage, blending clinical precision with intuitive energy work.
Her experience spans diverse environments — from chiropractic and office settings to corporate chair massage, breast cancer support groups, and long-term care homes.
Alyse’s adaptable, empathetic approach helps students understand that true healing meets each client where they are — in both body and spirit.
